PLAYGROUND UPDATES
Primary & Elementary Playgrounds (Jan 2026)
New playground surfaces and equipment will be installed over the next two months, which consists of a new climbing structure near the back of the Elementary, a new sport court near the back of the Primary, a soccer field near the front of the Elementary, and new slides and swings near the front of the Primary. The shade structure for the new ADA playground has been installed and rubber mulch has replaced pea gravel in existing playgrounds. We hope to have the playground project completed by the time students return from Spring Break.
AUTO MECHANICS FACILITY
MHS Auto Mechanics Facility (Jan 2026)
Site work is underway. The foundation is being prepared.
MCGREGOR HIGH SCHOOL
MHS Gym Area (Jan 2026)
The high school gym exterior walls are almost finished and brick is onsite for the front wall. The front entry, concession stand, and restrooms are being constructed as well as the hallway connecting the new area to the existing gym. The gym ceiling is going into place along with raised seating for bleachers. The classroom, weight room, dance room, locker rooms, and training area are all being constructed.
JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL
Interior & Exterior (Jan 2026)
The exterior walls of the new jr. high school are being installed as well as the staircases connecting the second story on both sides of the landing. The front of the campus now has sheetrock within the community room and front office area. The front awning is being prepped for installation. The first floor interior is close to having all insulation and sheetrock installed. Construction and installation is well underway in all other areas of the campus including classrooms, both gymnasiums, locker rooms, cafeteria, band hall, theater room, kitchen, and library.
MISD AGRICULTURAL FACILITY
Agricultural Facility (Jan 2026)
Animals are now enjoying the new facility and students are doing a great job keeping it clean. Drop-down screens for the outdoor arena will be installed. Network connectivity within the facility is almost complete.
